Ear surgery (Otoplasty) is a cosmetic procedure that involves pinning back protruding ears so they sit closer the face.

How is Otoplasty performed?

During otoplasty the surgeon reshapes part of the cartilage in the ears, allowing them to lie closer to the side of the head.

Recovery Time

The procedure takes around 1 hour and is done as day surgery under local anaesthetic and sedation. A headband will need to be worn for two weeks post operatively and for a further four weeks at night.
