Breast Reduction

Are your breasts getting in the way in your everyday activities or causing you back and shoulder pain? Read on to find a solution…

Breast reduction is a surgical procedure to reduce the size of large or sagging breasts to comfortable proportions. Some woman may also suffer from back , neck or shoulder pain due to the size of their breasts.

How is the reduction performed?

There are several techniques for a breast reduction. They all aim to remove excess breast tissue, re-contour the breasts and reposition the nipples. Your plastic surgeon will discuss the surgical options that are available, including how and where the nipple and areola will be repositioned, and the site and number of incisions

Surgery time

Breast reduction is performed under general anesthesia. A hospital stay will be required of between 2- 4 days. Most women can return to work after two weeks but it may be up to four weeks before you can resume all normal activities.

What can I expect from my final results?

Patients who receive breast reduction treatment can expect a reduction in breast size and improved breast shape.
